Alumni News

Northern Steel has had many alumni go on to play at Division I, II and III colleges, both locally and outside of the state. Northern Steel has also had players that have gone on to the Professional Ranks and still play today.
Northern Steel congratulates the following alumni for their outstanding contributions to their college soccer programs.

  • Abbey Gore (’14 Steel alumna) was recently recognized as the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Defensive Player/Goalkeeper of the Week for her intelligent defensive play at Westminster.
  • Karlie Paracca (’14 Steel alumna) was named the UNLV Nike Invitational tournament’s most outstanding player in late August and the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week in September for her exceptional play on behalf of Kent.
  • Sarah Dailey (’14 Steel alumna) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on September 15, 2014 for her incredible goalkeeping on the Pitt-Bradford team; Dailey has allowed just two goals in her five starts and has three recorded shut-outs.
  • Cory Werth (’11 Steel Alumna) is now a redshirt senior at Pitt. He scored the game tying goal against NC State For Pitt. He also was leading Pitt in points at that point.
